I have to give a ringing endorsement of the reed service provided by Justin (member Myrrdinemrys). I won’t say he
has delivered me the Beast Glatisant, but he has worked some small kind of magic by fulfilling my quest for
a reed for my Kevin Thompson chanter. This is one fine reed. He went further, by making a small correction to
staple design from the original supplied by Kevin, enabling me to play easily and in tune with my drones up
the high ‘C’.
I don’t make reeds. I haven’t the time. . .I want to play. (The old joke is "At my age, I don’t even bother
with buying green bananas. . .) But if you need an excellent reed at a very reasonable cost. Justin is yer Man.

I am glad to have helped. The dimensions and tone hole placement seemed to closely match the Liam O’Flynn Rowesome design, so I made an educated guess that seemed to pay off quite well. Tommy Martin’s suggestions seemed to point in this direction as well. I was rather impressed with the overall tuning, myself.
