Accordion player, fiddler and prolific composer Richie Dwyer has died. Member of the O’Dwyer family of Cailroe, Beara and longtime Ennis resident. Quite the character too. His brothers Michael, Finbarr and John were also mighty players and influential composers.
He edited and published a collection of his brother Michael’s tunes and published his own collection of some 90 tunes, ‘In creative mood’
His most well known tunes are perhaps The fox on the town and Richard Dwyer’s
