My return visit to the "“Lewis Bridal Song”
recorded using Bb Generation Whistle (Nickle)

The tune is form Bill Ochs, Clarke Tin Whistle Tutorial.

My first recording was done last August 2012

Very nice! I like your phrasing and the use of slurring more in the new one.

After listening to yours a few times I did a search of YouTube and listened to various folks singing that. Pretty interesting the slight differences you’ll hear. Maybe tomorrow I’ll try to add a little variety to how I play it.

Thank you for your music page link :smiley: I visited and enjoyed listening to all your tracks, my favourite is “The Quakers wife and Nora Criona” sounds great and works well as a set. At my stage of learning I personally hadn’t even thought of linking a couple of tunes to create a set so thank you for that idea it will add another level of fun/challenge to my practice sessions. My surprise track was the “Prayer to St. Francis” a very nice tune very sincere just like a prayer I’ll be on the look out for music for it. All the tracks sound great and nicely recorded too :slight_smile: You are making good progress and it shows in your tracks, good luck on your whistle learning journey.

I’ve only recently attempted coming up with sets of tunes. Challenge is a good word to describe it. The tunes have to be under my fingers very well, and even then it takes a while to get it right. You might want to take back thanking me after trying it. LOL

That’s used often, among other tunes, when I pray. A recent book I read about St. Francis really pushed me into using music as another way to pray. My Mom has also mentioned wanting me to play that at her funeral.
