I was wondering if anyone would know where I could get the sheet music to the whistle solo seen on star trek. I just happen to play an Oak D and was wondering if anyone knows where I could start to look for the sheet music, or whatever info is available

My daughter went to the star trek exhibition in Hyde Park London last week and spotted the whistle. She took some photo’s of it but as it’s in a case it doesn’t come out very well. She reckons it’s a Meg with bits onit.
OK, I’m a geek. I rented the episode “lessons” on DVD last night. Here’s my take on the Ressikan flute.
It’s got a conical body like a Copeland. The fipple area does not look like the Copeland photos I’ve seen. The main body is brass with silver colored insets of decorations around the finger holes.
There was one shot looking down the whistle over Picard’s shoulder. The “windway” is a round hole drilled through a solid block. Soundling more prop-like all the time!
Patrick Stewart does a reasonable imitation of playing the whistle during his close ups. The fingering looks right on, but it didn’t really look like he was blowing into the thing.
They played the “Inner Light” tune. It seemed considerably higher pitched than if it were coming from a D whistle.
We’ve had a lot of threads on

I replayed the music bits. In one scene, Picard and the lady play “Frerre Jaques” in his quarters. That’s played in D.
In the Jefferies tube, the “Inner Light” theme is played in A. On a D whistle, it will go up to the high D (the 3rd one), and according to the sheet music I have, will require one half-holed G#. It all seems very doable for a good player.
I heard that Chattaway said the tune was played on an Oak classic D

Inner Light is episode #125, from season 5. Don’t know if that is out on DVD yet or not (Last I had seen they were only on season 2).
Lessons is episode #145 from season 6. (Ditto the above)
