Requesting free direct sheet music

Hey everyone,

I have a few pages of sheet music on the computer, but I want to put a whole book together.
Will you post direct links to sheet music (not to any home pages where I would have to search for a long time to find them) so I can save to file?

Thanks!

I already have a link to the Sessioneer (thanks, Cees!) and Clips and Snips and the TinWhistler. Any others?

I like this site:

Hey Greg, why do you ask?

Mostly curiosity, really. My website doesn’t come up in conversation here very much.

Thanks for the plug

Yes, Greg, but personally, I find your website wonderful for finding new material. In fact, most of my music ‘collection,’ comes from your website.

I can’t remember how to post a working link, or else I’d do it, but if I remember correctly, his website is at:

http://www.tinwhistler.com/music/

Wow, hey cool! it worked!

http://ceolas.org/ceolas.html

has links to several online sources of sheet music.

Here’s another…

Thanks! I am always flattered when folks tell me they like the site..specially since I work hard at making it accessible to non-technical folks.

On the links secion to my site, Kai, there are a few other places that have direct links to image files, too.

Greg

Have you thought about putting the music in ABC notation too? I can’t read sheet music (due to a learning disability…disabilitie…dis… can’t spell eather…either shucks), but can read ABC.
Just a thought…

Your site is wonderful, and should have more hits. May I include a link to it on my site’s link page, and a banner, if you have one?
Thanks,
Bill Whedon

Jeff:
Years ago, I had ABCs on my website…but it was a lot of work to transcribe stuff and make ABCs above and beyond the work I already do. JC’s Tunefinder and Henrik Norbeck (both have links on my links page) have such huge ABC collections that it seemed to me like they already have those bases covered…so I’m looking to fill a differen’t niche

Thanks for the compliment. The web’s free, you don’t need my permission to link  I don’t have a banner though.

Kaimeist,

You need adobe acrobat to read/print the first 4 collections. The last link will give you access to much more, too many links to put them all up!

Once you’ve learnt all the tunes here BY HEART, backwards, I will post some more links. Maybe.

I may smell of cats, but I taste of baby mustard, and look like a space-monkey.

Mart,

I doubt highly that you smell like mustard. If you do, though, I wouldn’t admit that to someone who has never seen you before!

Also, thanks go to all of you for the links. I was wondering if those adobe acrabat ones will allow me to save the entire thing on my computer?

I have seen the TinWhistler site a few times, and I am very new to this whole thing!

But I will talk about it any time you want!

You weren’t asking about blank, 5-line paper, that you download to your printer, were you? There are several sites out there. Wish I could name them for you. Go Google.
