No, the attachment that’s on a hose, with a sprayer on the end. The faucet is separate, and it’s just an ordinary looking one. but hey, off it all comes. What do I know!

It’s quiet out there now, and the swearing has stopped. I’m scared to go look.
Once long ago at work,I decided to fix a special lab faucet instead of calling the university plumber—I don’t know why. Somehow, I thought that a faucet called out to the water to come when it was turned on, rather than holding the water back. So I took off various things and before I knew it there was a geyser of water shooting straight out at me. I hollered for help, ran for buckets, banged on doors, finally someone called the plumber---- a sweet, sweet man named Leon. He fixed things up, explained that the water was under lots of pressure and that the faucet was actually keeping it from coming out and,as he was leaving, he just very nicely recommended that I not attempt plumbing repairs myself because he was always glad to come and fix things.
Oh yeah, I remember cleaning all the caulking from around something once thinking I was getting things really spic and span. I mean how is a person supposed to learn all these things one shouldn’t do?
I know it’s painful not to have a sink. Once, I didn’t have a roof for 9 months, because the handyman I know hacked it off. Once, the kitchen had no rear wall, we had to climb a ladder to get upstairs, and we had two enormous ladders instead of upstairs railings. Still do, in fact. But we have a roof and a working kitchen sink. Often, I’ve found that the best policy is to figure out how to fix this stuff yourself.
Hope you get it back soon.
For a moment, just a moment mark you, I thought this might be a thread about one of those films, where Amar turns up at the door wearing overalls, a big droopy moustache, and carrying a tool-box. “Howdy ma’am, I’m here to fix your faucet.” (cue cheesey 70’s disco music)…
Not that I’ve ever seen such a thing, of course. And not that there’s anything wrong with that.
I always remove old caulking and replace it with new if I’m replacing a fixture that needs caulking. I figure why have a new fixture and old caulking.
I recently replaced our kitchen faucet and spritzer. Only took about 15 minutes. No caulking needed as there’s a rubber gasket that goes between the faucet and sink.
Please be sure to wear your droopy moustache and overalls…
So ~ I’m fooled.
Hubby put everything back, since he was unable to get one of the screws off.
No wonder it still works…
Emm, I admire you! Not only that, but my fear of heights means I’ve never been higher than the third rung on a ladder… I’d never see the second floor in your house
