I got back yesterday from a weekend camping trip with all of our renaissance faire volunteers. Great fun.
While I was there I realized I was pretty close to Lansing so I drove over to Elderly and ended up with two, count 'em, 2 new aquisitions.
First the Irish Flute Obsession CD. Full of great stuff.
Second, and most important, a new Thin Weasel. 
It’s a great looking and sounding whistle. Fairly loud but not a lot of breath required. The upper octave needs a little attention to keep from going down to the first but not nearly as much as a Susato. It stays in tune through it’s range.
I just oiled the bore this morning since I don’t know how long it’s sat in the store. Tonight I’ll run a rag through to get out any excess oil and continue the breaking in process.
