Was wondering has anyone heard the new album of Angelina Carberry on Banjo and Martin Quinn on accordion, now living in Galway. Their website has quite a few mp3s from their new album, along with Angelina’s recordings with her father Peter Carberry and John Blake on guitar. Also featuring appearances by Liz Kane (fiddle), Laoise Kelly (harp) and Peter Carberry Senior (Uilleann Pipes), this album is called “Memories from the Holla”. There are also mp3s of Martin Quinn’s recordings with the band na Dórsa, titled “The Wild Music of The Gael”. This is the debut album from Dórsa which evolved out of informal sessions and common musical ground between these fine Northern musicians.
