Yes, all brass to brass joints are soldered for additional stability.

Are the pictures recently made? Or is it the pipes? I really get it just making a point. I’d suggest a less cumbersome title.
A recommendation Chris, you may want to consider putting brass binders on the bass drone turn around (for lack of the correct term). This will aid in the drones structural stability.
By the look of it, I am concerned that it would take next to nothing to bend the bass drone out of shape.

They look in a way similar to a Wilkinson/McCarthy I started out on. Those were bendy.
Anyway, I think there’s no sense of proportion or balance in the look of those drones, they look fragile in places, bends too wide for the size tube, huge looking soundbox, too much tube compared too the wood. Bass drone sticking out a long way and at an angle larger than maybe desirable, bend sticking out in a strange direction.
I suggest re-thinking the bend set up, tuck it away better and at the same time use it to take some length out of the bass. Drones can be nice compact set ups if you design them well. Some pipemakers use the fold in the bass to support and protect the other drones, having it sit under the rest on the leg of the piper, seems a good idea.
It’s worth looking at what present and past makers were doing, some have a very good eye for proportion, some don’t. It’s worth emulating the looks of the good ones.
Paul Reid once posted some hints on photographing instruments here or on the whistleboard. They may be worth reading, especially when photographing blackwood chanters against a light background. If you don’t want a black hole without detail and an overall murky appearance, compensate your exposure. It’s well worth the effort.

One is paduka and African Blackwood with nicklesilver, stainless steel and alternate ivory trim. The other is Brazillian Cherry and paduka with brass and alternate horn trim.

Still working on the Baritone and tenor, and need to make a stabilizer band for the bass drone, although it is mighty sturdy without one…
I see the waist belt. I like how it’s attached with the pretty brass decorative plate. I just wonder why there seems to be only an inch of it available to put through the buckle and no hole for a tang even if you try to do so.
Great looking bellows, assuming they work, but the belt thing seems like a major failure to connect the dots…silence
