possibly not a very original question, but does anyone know whats the story with red lemonade? why is it only available in Ireland? What makes it taste so good? where can i get it in England, or elsewhere in the world?

In the US we have pink lemonade. I have no idea what makes it taste so good. Is it sweeter than non-red lemonade? Maybe it’s grenadine.
I know, pink and red lemonade have communist overtones.

American and European lemonade are two very different beasts. American is just lemon juice, water, and sugar or corn syrup (grenadine if you want to make it pink). European is soda – more like Sprite than like American lemonade. Any Yank who’s tried to mix shandy (ale and lemonade) has discovered this the hard way.

While not as common as it once was, there has been carbonated lemonade on the market in the United States for many many years.
