I seem to remember a page on the web of some time ago that had a list of various flute makers instrument prices for perusal and comparison.
Anyone know if this is still about, where it is, or indeed, if I was dreaming?
Thanks in advance, Harry.

Nice dream, Harry, but I think you dreampt it. The prices of flutes keep changing – if someone did put together such a list, it’d probably be out-dated in short order.
When I ordered my Hamilton keyless three years ago, it was an unbelievably low price – it went up during my wait, but, of course, Hammy kept it at the agreed price. I just visited his site, and it has shot up again since last I looked. He still has one of the best prices out there, and for one of the best flutes, but, man – I don’t know whether I should be thrilled at my great timing, or kick myself for not ordering a keyed flute at that time!

Hmmm… I think you’re right here, Gordon. It might simply have been an email from one of the mailing lists I’m thinking of.
Cheers, H.
I have been mildly offended by only one flute maker’s prices, but then again, that maker gets the price asked so the market will bear it. Price should not be a consideration in purchasing a good Irish Flute since, if you choose wisely, it will be a purchase that lasts a lifetime and beyond. If you choose unwisely… The man who buys quality winces only once while the man who buys crap winces over and over, or something like that.
