Unfortunately I’ve had some unexpected medical expenses this week. Also got a rather expensive speeding ticket coming home from this month’s session So, my whistle sales are continuing…
Up for grabs this time is a very rare (the only one I know of in existance) Silver plated Howard Soprano D whistle. This is beautiful and extremely well made, not at all like the Howard Low D’s. The whistle has a full tuning slide, delrin fipple plug, and internal tuning bands, similar to the ones used in all Burke whistles. This Howard is in very good condition.
The Howard includes the typical standard plastic “hard” case as well as a custom made double thickness cloth carrying pouch with drawstring closure.
A standard Howard Brass Soprano D, without the silver plating or additional carrying pouch, costs $200.
I’m asking $300 plus $10 for shipping and insurance. I would prefer payment via Paypal, which means you can use a credit card if you like.
Drop me an e-mail if interested, I’m happy to provide photos on request.
Loren
P.S. My Cook Low D is also for sale, $85 plus shipping.
Sorry to hear about medical expenses and speeding ticket. Bummer! But would you treat us all to a pic or two of the Howard, seeing how it is rare or even unique?
Mmm, tell you what, it’s a real pain to get a photo loaded where I currently have hosting for such a thing. I’ll be happy to snap a photo and e-mail it to anyone who feels like hosting it and posting the link. In fact, it someone feels like doing that I’ll send pictures of several rare whistles.
Unfortunately, the Titanium FippleShield is still in R&D…and we’re still waiting to get that shipment of missles, uh, I mean titanim raw materials, in from our contacts in the former Soviet Union.
However, as President and CEO of Dazed Industries, it will be my pleasure to send a standard FippleShield to the purchaser of Loren’s whistle with full warranty free of charge.
Joe isn’t joking, he’s just being an asshole - he’s one of those mean drunks, you know the type. It is Friday night afterall. Have pity on poor Joe, his liver won’t hold out much longer and he’s already killed more brain cells than our friend Davy…

I have to ask-why did you buy that whistle to begin with and why do you think anybody on this board is stupid enough to buy it from you for $300.
