Did you talk to Haynes about this flute? I’m curious about how many they made. They keep good records, and make nice flutes. It took me several years to find a Boehm flute I was happy with, and its a Haynes.
Good luck selling. I guess it should go for at least $4K.

I contacted Haynes three times, twice by e-mail and once by phone (left a message), and they ignored me every time. So my questions were never answered. Hmph!
My reserve is $2200, so I would be very pleased if it were to go as high as you estimated.

Maybe they were lightly staffed for the holidays. I’d expect they’ed answer the phone, because it might be a buyer. I don’t know if they sell direct though.
I assume it’s what’s called “hand made”, which, coupled with its rarity, makes it worth well over $2K.

They do sell direct. I called them a long time ago, not during the holidays. I think they didn’t return my call because they were mad at me for not buying a flute from them (I had asked lots of questions when on a tour of their workshop).
