Funny, though, that someone who would pay that much for a high-end flute from a high-end maker would make such an elementary error.
I’d imagine any flute player would know the difference, but I suppose it could happen.
I suppose it’s the same as many people who thought RS Pratten was the name of a maker (as well as Nicholson, as some posts from a few years ago evidence).
Either way, if it is indeed a Grinter 8key RR, then it’s pretty rare that it’s being offered for sale. I hope this person is not in dire financial straits and forced to sell what is likely a prized possession.

It still looks bad. Guy has, like, 2 karma points? his other items are a roof rack luggage basket and a food dehidrator, each one costing less than 1/100 of that flute. The last thing he bough on eBay was a pair of motorcycle gloves, also cheap. There is no picture. As usual, buyer beware. This one looks bad enough that it could actually be for real.
Your’e right, Glauber it could be real… but I don’t think I’d ever send this person money for this… better off buying his food dehydrator in case my flute gets over-humidified -

I’ve contacted the seller and it’s a genuine Grinter, 5 years old. The seller is a professional clarinetist and has played for 30 years. The “Randell & Rose” is a mistake/typo. Yes, the seller needs funds, hence the sale which is very reluctant. She describes the flute:
"The wood of this flute is excellent, no knots and an even grain. It is well moist without being too thick or dense, therefore produces a warm, resonant tone which sings in the upper register and can growl in the lower notes (with the right embouchure). "
So here is an oppotunity for someone into Grinter flutes to get an 8 key Michael Grinter without the wait for 27.000 Swedish crowns or 1.957 sterling

Fair enough. The flute and owner seem genuine enough and she’s a pro musician, not a dealer, and has a valid reason for selling, so I expect someone will make a good deal. Interesting and inspiring that flutes such as this Grinter, and recently, an Olwell and Wilkes keyless, even a keyed Wilkes have come up for sale.
