I’m looking for any and all kinds of music suitable for tinwhistle, or transposable to tinwhistle. I’ve found some databases, but I’m sure you people are just a treasuretrove of information on this! I’m working hard on the Irish stuff, which I have two books for. But in the meantime, until I get some of it down better (and so I don’t drive my husband insane), I’d like a little variety. Any and all kinds of music (except deathmetal, perhaps) databases would be interesting, but especially folky stuff, maybe some of the more unusual and interesting tunes. My kids are starting to attack me when I pull out my whistle…![]()

takes a while to load and is all alphabetic.
While I usually am just looking for a specific tune, i notice that there are tunes from different cultures etc etc.
A hint tho: before you click on a link, make sure and note the NUMBER for the tune, because links take you to multiple databases. So for example, if the xyz reel says HNR - 139. It will be number 139 at that site.
All the best.
I guess I should have searched the archives first…it looks like this question has been asked before…sorry about that!
