i just can’t learn a whole tune by ear, only part of it.it just takes to long,so i gave it up. the main thing is i still practice and learn every day. and now i only work with this program, and i’m happy with it http://sharewaredirect.co.uk/ (tablature kareoke). does anyone know what the difference is in playing a D whistle and starting a tune in E(bottom note open) or starting in G(3 bottom notes open)

Question for you and any other users: the penny whistle tab seems to be based on a C whistle. Is there any way to have it show the tab for a D whistle? I’ll keep poking and if I find the answer I’ll post…

EDIT - found it. At least on the midi I’m using, which is “Petronella” from the slowplayers.org list, you have to transpose it down two semitones and set the pitch up by two semitones.

or you can click easyest or reset,this way it transposes aswell, but what will this transposing do to a tune? i play all my half notes correct, but sometimes i just like the easy or transposed version,like if you play with a few people, maybe you can’t play the easy version at all, or would they also play this easy type in sessions?
