Looks like we’re going to Quebec City for about 3 nights of our vacation in Aug. Anyone have suggestions for reasonable places to stay and to eat?
Best things to see? Etc. Thanks.
Quebec city is a wonderful place with a rich history. Anything historical tours, the great falls down, the old town. I was there a long time ago, so my specifics would not be of much use.
We went to Jackman, Maine on vacation with my in-laws once. If you ever get lost in the middle of aboslutely nowhere, you are there. It’s a winter snow mobiling resort town. We were there in the summertime. We got to go canoeing on Moose Lake. We went to the Quebec City for the day. I have told you all the excitement we had on that trip.
It helps to make sure the locals know you’re an american, not an arrogant anglo (english-speaking Canadian) who has never learned to speak french.
Actually, as long as they don’t think you’re ontarian, you should be allright ![]()
Looks like a beautiful place to go.
I would like some kind of boat.
Quebec City is the closest thing North America has to a European walled city, which is kind of neat. in fact, it’s one of the few places in north america where you can get the same ‘medieval city centre’ feeling of the great European capitals.
The Montmorency falls is near by and kind of cool.
