Pubs, grub and sessions...

So…
Know any good pubs in Sarnia, Ontario? (Canada for all you other worldly people)

I have the good fortune to be obtaining a co-op job with a company in Sarnia, and the even better fortune to be preceded by my sister there. (She is working on a turbine installation for GE) So I have a place to live, family to hang with, money to be made, but as of yet no place for musical expression. (otherwise known as a chance to do two things I like → annoy people with my whistles, and drink beer - preferably guiness)

For those who don’t know what a co-op job is, or how mine works, please look at http://www.cecs.uwaterloo.ca/ and remember me!(electrical engineering, u of waterloo, currently finishing 1st yr)

Anyway, what’s good in Sarnia, and where are the local sessions?

I’m from Port Huron there’s an Irish Store downtown called the Irish Rose. They might know of some. And here’s a link to…

Hey Nico-nice to meet you…I live 30 minutes north of Sarnia on the Lake.
Unfortunately, there’s nothing musical (trad wise anyway) going on there. But there are players around and in the London area. Drop me a PM when you get settled and we’ll have some tunes. Also- you might want to consider going up to Goderich for Celtic College week, it’s only 45 minutes north of here. Not only will the music be great, but you’ll make some local connections too.
You’re currently in Fergus? What a nice town…
