Prowse Nicholson

Hi all,

A friend of mine wants to sell her “C. Nicholson Improved” flute by Prowse. SN: 4090. How much should she charge for it? AFAIK, it is in mint condition (as they say), all eight keys working. Session ready. Blackwood, Sterling (I believe) silver and some ivory bits.

I am not going to sell it for her but I promised to ask the experts on this board about the value for Prowse Nicholsons. Any help appreciated!

Dankeschön,
Claus

If you are interested in buying this flute, you can PM me and I’ll forward your e-mail address to the seller.

I’d say 2000 - 2500 $ if it’s really in perfect condition.

But you could ask directly to the professionnals (Dave Migoya sells vintage flutes, and Ralph Sweet as well…) Or ask AndrewK. He’ll probably tell you he found one for 100 £, but he’s very knowledgeable :smiling_imp:

Thank you Matt!

One of the people you mentioned already has contacted me because he wants to buy it. So he won’t be of much help in this case
I’ll try and contact the others.
But maybe other CF members would like to chime in here too?
