Thanks to the approval of my Veterans Administration claim, I intend to upgrade my whistle collection. As background, the whistles are primarily used for my enjoyment (?) since I rarely play with another person.
I currently have:
Michael Burke brass whistles in High D and Bb
Dixon Low D
Susato C, D, and Bb
I also have a Tipple Flute that I really like, although I am not certain it likes me.
I intend to buy a Low D to replace the Dixon. I am looking at a Burke or Alba. That decision was based on all the comments I have read on this board concerning low whistles.
I would appreciate your advice one more time.
