Here is a lovely E and Eb Combo flute that I just finished for my dear friend Ian Law, using some of the last of the old curly boxwood that has been laying around my workshop for years.

What is the finish on the boxwood?
The finish I use is basically raw linseed oil activated with a bit of super glue.
Beautiful wood. The “C#” holes look really large! Doesn´t cross fingered C nat get too sharp?

The bore, the position of the C# hole on the body, the wall thickness, the size of the hole and the undercutting of the hole as well as the same factors for the two holes below (B and A) determine the pitches of the C and C#. These are plenty of variables to deal with. Figuring out what works best is an iterative process. Generally I drill the holes undersized, then ream them to pitch in the 1st octave, then control the pitch of the 2nd octave by the degree of undercutting, which has only a very minor effect on the 1st octave notes.
