Is there such a think as a practice headjoint with an embouchure that ‘forces’ you to have the proper embouchure and breathe control?

no, probably not.
Yes, a 1971 Artley Student model silver flute in need of a pad change. 
Hmmm… i’m thinking something with electrodes and a power supply…
A good flute is as close as you’ll get to
what you describe. If you’re having
trouble, there’s a period of several months
at the beginning, where embouchure can
be maddening. If you don’t sometimes
wonder if you’ll ever get it, you aren’t
playing. If that’s it, courage, mon brave!
My main reason for the question is because I started to record myself for my scoiltrad lesson and I don’t know of anything more humbling than hearing yourself play. 
So I thought if I practiced with a headjoint that absolutely forces you to do things correctly it would be better with the ‘good’ headjoint…

Yes, it’s humbling. You are on the right track, I reckon.
Flute, as I was told when I wrote posts similar
to yours, is not for the faint of heart!
Persevere! I realized finally that I was
playing a truly demanding big league
instrument and that mastering it would
take a LOT of work. Nothing without
labor! Best
That’s for sure! 
That’s why they call it “practice” ~
Keep at it.

Hey, Tony, you may be suffering of a common problem; we’re often our worst critics. Or not. Sending it to Conal is a great way to get an impartial opinion from somebody else who Knows. He’ll probably find out something he thinks you could improve on, and then tell you how you might work on improving it.
