Potential Maine club?

Did a scan of FAQ & didn’t see anything relating to the following.

In the case of starting up a new club, what would make for
the best chance of success?

“Success” being..oh I dunno. folks don’t say it sucked..?

I’m in Maine, & am beginning to talk to some folks about
the possibility of a new club here.

Is there a ‘piping club’ mentor out there somewhere?

Rich,

Check your PM.

I was just speaking to a friend tonight about doing the same thing here in Western NY/Southern Ontario. I think there are finally enough of us around here to get together on a regular basis!

Any sage advice?

James

Maine pipers near the Quebec border might be interested to know that there will be a meeting of the Quebec pipers in Montreal on Sunday 18th Feb.

Ontario Pipers have already started this, with meetings planned on the first Sunday of every month at 401 Richmond St. W. in Toronto, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Follow-up to continue at the infamous Sunday sessions at Dora Keough’s.

Toronto was chosen as an initial starting point due to the number of pipers within driving distance. This is not to say, however, that it can’t or won’t expand to other locations east and west of TO eventually.
