I can,t believe it .I just seen a porno movie and the back ground music to one of the scene,s was a beautiful slow piece played on Uilleann pipes . The thing was that it was actually very nice playing There was no credit at the end of the movie for the music so I don,t know who the piper was.
The name of the movie was "Forbidden tales " by a company called digital playground .I,m sure a lot of people who use this forum have seen it, so any idea who the piper is ???
I have heard that the porno industry is centered in the West San Fernando Valley of LA. The So. California Pipers Club had their meeting last Sunday in the west valley…so…maybe one of the club pipers found a way to make some extra money for those new regs he (or she) was planning on buying. Or maybe they found a new way to bring in extra funds to the club. Next years tionol might be reaaaalllly interesting !!!
Hmmm… it would be fairly simple to grab a snippet of Patrick’s chanter from the SCUPC CD set, and one from the porno and do a sonogram to compare the chanter’s acoustic signatures…
I saw every disgusting, depraved frame of that film!..Twice.
I didn’t reallysee it yet, but I wonder, will make mention on that internet list of every film with bagpipes?
Over here, on Cable TV, we have channel 71, I think it is; anyway, if you have it blocked for kiddie reasons, you can still hear the sound track as you sit and watch the fuzz on the screen…‘oh..oh…harder..harder’…do-do-do-do-dum-dum-dum-do-do-do-do-dum-dum (so goes the midi sequence). Given the amount of crap on the idiot box these days it’s no less eddifying to just sit and listen Not that I have it at my home, I don’t…strictly free-to-air, government sponsored ABC and the international-focussed SBS (Special Broadcasting Service). But I was told by a friend of a friend that that is what one can do if they’re so inclined.
Got curious and in a few minutes googled this. (took a few minutes because google turned up some distracting non-music sites.) I think it’s the soundtrack. I listened to a few snips and didn’t hear any pipes. I’d guess the whole thing is done on a synthesizer.
