Popular Slow Air - my own composition.

Here are the notes of a slow air composed by myself called the Lament for Fred Finn. Fred Finn was a fine fiddleplayer who lived near Kilavil, the home of the world renowned Michael Coleman and was related to me through marriage. When he passed away in 1986 I was sad and composed this air in memory of him. Hope you like it. A—FG----AG—FD------. DF-A----B–AG-A------. FA- D’—E’F’------ A- FD-- G-G----. Thank-you for posting this tune. For me there is nothing more beautiful than a lovely air

How about a recording of it for Clips and Snips?

Loren

I have a recording of some of my compositions on two CDs. One is called The Lakes of Sligo and the other CD called Around St. James’s Well will be on sale shortly. They will be distributed worldwide then Claddagh Records and I guess you will be able to gain a copy then. Glad you like it. All my students play it at various competitions for slow air playing and they always get either first second or third place in each competition. I dont know how to record it for Clips and Snips. thank you. Carmel Gunning sligo Ireland.
