Ok…I have no idea why the poll didn’t work…so I will ask the question without it. What key other then D would you have in a Low Whistle?

Anything in G, I can play on a low D whistle and I don’t play enough stuff in other keys to justify another whistle.
G is really useful for playing with guitarists as they seem to like playing in both G and C although F is also good for guitarists who have a capo!!
I have F and G, mostly for their second key capabilities. May get an A some day.
A and G for solo slow airs–which is 98 percent of what I play.
I’m still not tempted by low D, though I’m sure they come in handy if you make your living clubbing baby seals.

Low D works for me. A low C would be nice for some of the cooler D minor stuff.

Hey, you never know when one of those pesky baby seals is going to attack YOU! I don’t use the low D whistle for self derfense, though. With my luck of late, I’d grab the Dixon rather than the Overton - and then where would I be? Besides, an Uzi works better.
Actually, my new found calm and reasonable demeanor (most of the time, anyway) seems to date from when my doctor limited me to one cup of coffee or one Pepsi a day. Surprisingly, I survived - which I really didn’t expect.
G is a well rounded sound to my ears. But nothing can replace the great ol’ D

Not that I have any low whistles, but I’d say F. It’s still pretty dang low and can I play in C, F, Bb, Eb, A minor, D minor, G minor, and C minor.
Those are pretty much my favotire keys along with “D.”
I love my Generation F.

Other than D, I have a low F that is nice; but the one I want, is an E.
It would play in E and A which would give me some options with some contra-dance music. I’d also like to play around with some simple blues.
I’d also like a low C, for some of the folk music that I know.
Face it, I’d like them all…
But my next will be an E natural…
