Did ya?

NO :astonished: , Ok, I didn’t read it because I didn’t receive it! Please Dale, send newsletter, , am gasping for air, feel dizzy, might expire without the newsletter.

Echoing what Monster said.

If you’ve been sending them out monthly, Dale, there’s a chunky problem, because I’ve only received 2-3 in the last 8 months or more. Hopefully you’ve been sending them less often and everything’s okay. Right..? Right..??!

Dale you have this problem every few months.

I looked it up from the main page, it is highly recommended reading this month. The bit about the cat was hilarious!

Not yet. Haven’t dl’d mail in two days - didn’t know it was out.

Just finished reading it before I came and checked the board. Excellent as always. Thanks Dale!!!

It’s an unfortunate thing. A lot of servers now bounce Chiff & Fipple mailings, interpreting them as spam. It’s really too bad and I don’t know a thing I can do about it.

There is a way of getting notified that a new web issue of the newsletter is up.

There is a webservice called “Web2Mail” and it is located at http://web2mail.com The free service is called Web2Mail Lite. It allows you to enter a web address that you are interested in and then it emails you the webpage when the page changes. Whenever Chiff & Fipple sends out a newsletter, it includes a link to the web version of the newsletter. So, if you join Web2Mail Lite and ask it to send you changed versions of the following website address, you’ll be notified of a new newsletter:

http://www.chiffandfipple.com/webissues.html

If you do choose to subscribe via this method, please shoot me an email and let me know. It’s good for me to keep up with subscribers and I have no way of knowing if you are subscribing through that method if you don’t let me know.

I am old and like to read things in print (its that bifocal thing), so a printer friendly version would be welcomed…

I prefer to read things in print, too.

I was about to when I got distracted by this thread… BRB

Gee, Dale… some of that seems awfully familiar… is there some reason we are getting repeat performance rights?

edited addition: At least on the first part…

edited again: Oh… I know - it’s the “Kids write” part - I read that before, not the rest of the newsletter… as Rosanna Rosannadanna would say, “Oh, never mind”

Never got it. Damn you postal workers!

OK, i got it. I admit i had to bribe a postal worker with a fifth of gin to get it, but sometimes you have to make sacrifices. I have to say i was very surprised and saddened to see that it includes an article critical of Grey Larsen’s new notation for Irish music ornaments. It was great to have Dale with us in this world for so many years; he will be sorely missed. :sniffle:

I read it on the webpage. Nice issue!

For those who are getting C&F mailings bounced…does your ISP just filter your spam, without giving you the chance to check it before it’s deleted? Our ISP uses “Postini,” which quarantines anything it interprets as spam (as well as anything that it finds a virus in). I get periodic email notifications that I need to check my Postini inbox. When I go there, I can delete the unwanted messages, and can also flag as “allow” messages that had inadvertantly been flagged as spam.

It’s a gentlemanly debate between two scholars. What’s your problem?

Just got the Sunday paper in my mailbox.

This week, the comics are kind of scarce, and I couldn’t much read the papers. Then I realized that I hadn’t had my second pot of coffee, and my computer screen was upside down.

So I stopped the yoga, came back on my feet, munched my bowl of coffee beans and, skipping the ads, started reading as usual from P3, i.e. People & Pets Page. Never mind the lead-addict feline with a bong, the real guest star is chef Jojo Quellie. He’s the Lord of the roosters and a maître-coq of a cook, but controversial: IMHO for pure drop chop-suey, stirring the wok with a single chopstick is a no-no.

Also, I prefer different kind of cats for the centerfold. The Swiss resident stringers should contribute more often.

After such warm-up, I proceeded to the theology column by Bill Ochs, no bollicks. I can’t take sides on his current debate with Rev. Larsen, but his amazing graces sound gospel to me. Also I appreciated his liberal preach to rehabilitate the hooligan pipe workers, no matter what you socially think of them. Some day I shall also invite my local plumber for a formal tea. With a little luck he’ll promise to drive by “some time next week” as usual.

News letter? What newsletter? Theres a news letter? Where’s the newsletter?

Boy that was short poll. I guess is was a one day poll. It would let me vote. Maybe C&F pulled my voting privledges, hmm.

Yes, I did read the newsletter.

To those of you having anti-spam software, there are whitelists that you can add email addresses to that allow them to bypass the spam filters.

I got it and read it.
