Political Thread: Saudis buying into News Corp

I’m going on a limb here, but I think this is an important topic for all of us no matter what political orientation. We know that the Saudis are very powerful and have over 1 trillion$ in investment in the US.

While the US is busy spreading democracy in Iraq Saudi Arabia is notably exempt from that reform demand.

Recently the Saudis were also made exempt from any nuclear inspections by the International Atomic Endergy Commission.

Now they are buying into the major News Organization with a voting right. Very very troubling in my book. Many of us suspect they already own many politicans in this country, but are they on their way to own a large part of the media as well?

It’s amazing to me that you STILL don’t get it. There are lots of people on the board who are tired of all the political posting - enough that Dale is considering alternative ways to run the board.
