N.B. I have just been reliably informed that Alf Edwards WASN’T a Scotsman, after all! 
Ah well, sounds like he was a fascinating character, one of those one of a kind individuals, you don’t meet every day. The sort that folk say there are far fewer of around, today.
The bottom line is, I don’t really mind how long my list is … as long as it is ACCURATE, so many thanks to [u]Stephen Chambers[/u] for the info!

I was lucky enough to bump into [u]Jack Beck[/u] this week, here in the Glens of Antrim.
I met Jack first back in 1973, but I hadn’t seen him since 1983, so we had a wee bit of catching up to do.
Anyway, he was telling me that he acquired an old Wheatstone from a musician in Fife, some years ago, but he finally got round to having it fully restored fairly recently, so now he’s working away on it & learning how to play it, so that he can accompany the odd song or two.
So one more Scottish exiled English Concertina player for our list!

Yes! Afraid I’ve missed the development of this list so far, but Paul Connolly (who played in a band with me in the early 1990s and still lives/works/plays in Lochaber) ought to be on any list of Scots players of the English concertina…
