Planxty with Drums!

Trad Irish Music

Hi All,
Just a little something that you might be interested in (apologies if it looks like a spam attempt, it probably is ). Anyway, Zildjian are running an Irish Drummer competition… One of the finalist drummers (a friend of mine) has submitted a version of “Three Jigs” by Planxty.

You can see the submission here, under the ‘Kev O’ → http://zildjian.com/DrummerLoveEuro/DrummerLove/ireland-vote

And if you feel like supporting his cause, please do vote too!

Zildjian will send you an email, to confirm your vote, and that’s it…

Go raibh maith agaibh go leir!

Sorry - doesn’t add anything to the original for me. Best of luck to yer man, anyway.

In fact, my favorite thing about it was that it didn’t take away from the original. But I especially appreciate that, out of all the things he could have played, he chose this … and chose not to junk it up with crazy showoffy stuff, just nice classy drumming that supports the music. I admire that in a percussionist, and totally encourage more of it!
