Plane Carrying 160 Swerves

I read the headline, “Plane Carrying 160 Swerves,” and I swear I had to ask myself, “What’s a ‘swerve’?”

It took a moment then I realized (duh) that ‘swerves’ was being used as a verb and not as a noun.

With all the new countries popping up and changing their names, I thought perhaps I had missed one. Swervia?

I glanced at the title and though it would be a joke about airborne Swedes…
