I’m baaaaack…but not for long. This is an announcement on behalf of a friend who has elected to devote his efforts towards other instruments and is prepared to sell his remaining pipes parts. He had promise as an adult learner piper but decided that the flute, whistle, and fiddle are favored instruments.
Preshaw C chanter in ebony and I think boxwood but I havent seen the chanter in about a year. it has one or more keys. Reeded by Benedict Koehler. Paid roughly $800 I think but am not sure and reed was $65. Make a respectable offer beginning at $500.
David Daye Penny Chanter…black delrin. Reeded and plays the best of all the PC’s I’ve ever played. Good balance between the octaves. I think its a steal for the customer at $200. You won’t go wrong if looking for an economical starter chanter. This chanter has performed as expected every time I’ve picked it up. No reed adjustments required over a 2 year period. It is not my cup of tea but it’ll do.
Michael Dow Bellows. Like new. Paid $500. Would sell for $400 or close offer. Tired of that old leaky bellows? Then snatch this one at a great price!
L&M bag for Uilleann pipes. Excellent and like new…hardware by Seth Gallagher. Paid $180. Make offer in the neighborhood of $150.
Either one of the two chanters would go well with the bag and bellows as a practice set…just add up the costs to arrive at a group price. The seller would hope to sell off the bag and bellows along with one of the chanters to maximize the likelihood of selling all parts.

There has been interest in all of the pipes parts for sale as mentioned above. No one has expressed an interest in the PC…it really plays!
Quarterback? Nah…it was defensive back. Now, just playin’ outfield in an adult fast pitch baseball league. Was hitting 85 mph fastballs and 75 mph curveballs in the batting cages last nite. The PROBLEM is, however, that I have had some difficulty sealing the tone holes of my chanters of late. Benedict Koehler “attempted” to give me some lessons last weekend. I played like a moron. Six and one-half years of experience and confidence flew out the window. After considerable thought on his part, the man is a genius you know, he called to surmise that the biomechanics of hitting and loss of sensitivity in my hands due to the onset of the season and adaptive responses of the hands to repeated trauma (go ahead to the cage and see for yourself) has led to my difficulty. I think he’s right. In fact, just he other night, I noted some cramping in the hands that I’d not experienced in probably 5 years! As Bill Nye the Science Guy would say…" Now YOU Know"…what baseball has to do with Uilleann Piping.
there must be something about playing in the presence of a master, every time I go up to Kirk Lynch’s place I play like an utter moron too. I always feel like such a fool.
