Where do you place your fingers?

Like the pipes with the pinky “anchoring” on the end of your whistle?

Fingertips and pink in mid-air?

I saw Paddy Moloney playing the whistle on… Emril Live and he uses his fingertips.. So I guess not all pipers play with the middle parts of their fingers on the whistle?

As for me, t’would be the former.

Sometimes it depends on teh whistle, tips for the smaller ones and middle phalangers (hehum) for the larger whistles b and low d. Whatever gices a good seal. Pinky usually anchoring. And remember - only one thing at a time.
