im just trying to get some inputs on bruce childress’s work
…well, I named my drillpress after him… 
Bruce is a member on C&F and has added some great technicial information to our archives. He’s top notch with customer service, makes great pipes, accurate delivery dates, modest prices.
Every Childress set I have heard (played a couple) rocked baby!!
I’m pleased with my new Childress full set.
I am very happy with my Bruce Childress D chanter.
I have heard nothing but good from all sources on Bruce’s pipes and know a couple people who have his pipes. They are very happy with them.

If prices are published publicly, they are legally binding.
Why not call Bruce directly and ask him?
Do childress’s pipes compare favourably to seth gallagher’s (he seems to get a lot of good press around here)?

I don’t think so. It’s certainly not the case over here, and things like this are fairly fundamental; I doubt they would vary much.
In the UK, at least, advertisements, price lists, etc, are not legally binding; they are termed ‘invitations to treat’ or something. For a contract of any kind to exist legally requires the consent of both parties - a published advertisement doesn’t constitute consent.

In the US, the order has be accepted and/or acknowledged. Typos could, of course, appear in a catalog or web site. Best to check with the maker himself at time of order on what the deal is.
