I’ve been reeding a Narrow Bore D chanter by R. May, and it is a delight to play in addition to being quite easy to reed, but I know absolutely nothing about it’s maker… Robert May.
Would anyone here be willing to shed a little light on Mr. May for me? I’d appreciate it greatly, Thanks

Five years ago I was in contact with Bob May regarding his plastic reed experiments. He didn’t have a website at the time and I offered to host some pictures with sound files he sent me. I know he had made and sold a few traditional styled chanters (practice sets) on C&F and possibly on eBay, but he was doing this as a sideline to his day job. I haven’t heard from him since.
