I just got my new pipe bag cover from this nice lady on eBay…northfortymom is her eBay name, I know her as Jolene Hastings from Ohio…she made a special order for me. It came out great. While on the subject, I ordered the cover because I have heard that the oils, etc from your skin can break down a bag faster. Is this something that has been discussed here? Just curious. The bag feels nicer with the cover, and it is much cooler looking…so when you see a 7 foot piper (wannabe) from New Jersey, with a bag under his arm that resembles a Jersey Cow, you will know who you met…cheers…
Wow 7 footer? Really? I thought I was tall at 6’7". Nice to know that there are other giants out there that play the pipes

I’ve never been interested in bag covers but one thing I’ve always been curious about is their impact on ergonomics. I’ve experimented a lot since starting on the pipes to find a mainstock and blowpipe position that were ergonomically natural, comfortable and minimized awkwardness so that I have less distractions while playing. Obviously these things will be different for each piper depending on his or her body and the style/components in the set. It seems to me that bag covers somewhat limit these factors as the holes in the bag cover have to line up with the stocks exiting them. Is it a compromise?
I kinda got it to protect the bag in the long run, and figure while I was at it, try not to get that Hunter Green that is tooo common…something a little different…
