Are there any Pink Floyd songs that are playable on a whistle. Now I thought that they would sound best in a low whistle…but I’m not so sure.

Their early Syd Barrett-period stuff is clearly best for whistle. Try ‘Careful With That Axe Eugene’.
Is WInds of Change by pink floyd? That has a Whistle Part in it…
I’d love to hear Interstellar Overdrive played on solo tinwhistle.

Good song… it’s by the Scorpions (unless there are other versions of it out there that I don’t know of.) ![]()

Agreed–Huey is one : you’ll even find a (Yikes!) use for 3rd octave in the final
.
Try the movie More soundtrack, too. Also acid but mellower.

I seem to recall playing along to parts of ‘Pulse’ back when I was working at the planetarium and did the Laser Floyd shows there…
But then, I think those guys are great even withOUT any whistles in their stuff!

the thing is, when I play my whistle to modern music, what comes out always sounds a bit folky, I put in taps and cuts automatically, it’s actually hard to play without those little gracenotes. Makes dire straits or phil collins sound kinda funny. ![]()

You have to work at making Dire Straights and Phil Collins sound funny??? I didn’t know they needed help.
A whistle works well on Dark Side of the Moon.
