Hi there! This is very odd indeed! I own a Sam Murray Keyless blackwood too, but the insignia on the barrel is different. The one on your flute is that of a lion but mine’s that of a crown. Do you have any idea when your flute was made?
Secondly is your headjoint fully lined? The picture of the inside of the headjoint looks silvery - I guess it could be the lighting too..

I ordered the flute 1995 and got it 1996.
Yes, the flute is fully lined.
Oh I wasn’t aware that Murray flutes came with lined head options - mine is unlined. I guess he must have used another insignia back in '96.
