I’m currently programming a whole load of these for a summer camp. That’s right, they’re soldering for an activity, and they’ll end up with a memory type game.

It takes about 5 secs for each download, so I am typing in between. Fun!

The heck with PICs… Atmel AVR is where it’s at.

Have you seen the MiniPOV</a](http://www.ladyada.net/make/minipov/index.html">MiniPOV</a)> project, yet?
I think it’s a neat, simple PIC project for kids…
