I have a piccolo for sale. I believe it is cocus, six nickel keys.
Plays in tune in a440 with the slide out a bit.
I’m not a professional restorer but I have been fixing them up.
I have cleaned, oiled, and repadded with closed cell foam and reinforced a previously done barrel crack. It’s playing nicely now. I can get a very Doonanesque type of tone of this one more so than my Rudall Carte. It plays rather like my Murray piccolo like a mini rough Irish flute rather than the lighter tone of the Rudall Carte.

Suggest you take a look at your last pic on your blog site and change the G# key from the D# position and then replace the D# key from the G# back to where it should go…unless of course the picture at the start was wrong and the last is correct? Just as well it wasn’t a real “band flute” so maybe Jem will chip in …and tell you it is an Eb key. LoL
