Hi Frodo, Just a word about GHB notation. The Drone of GHB is Bb (ish) and this is the tonic for a lot of the music, the notation however is written in A and the scale is A with a flat seventh (Mixolidian Mode) in other words two sharps.
This means you can play all GHB tunes on the whistle reading the notation as written. If you want to play along with Pipes in Bb just switch to an Eb whistle.
Some of the tunes are playable with other tonics such as D by transposing the tune down a Fifth (7 semitones).
Tunes that use the A minor pentatonic scale are playable using E, D, B, and A, as tonic.
