Photos from St. Patrick's Day

I took the day off last Wednesday and spent it down at the Mucky Duck playing music, drinking (not too much), and socializing. Here’s</a](http://www.heorot.org/blog/archives/cat_st_patricks_day_2004.php">Here’s</a)> a few photo’s.

Alas, none of the photo’s of flute players came out.

Sadly, Lloyd](http://home.att.net/~ceilidhmusic/LloydGibson.htm%22%3ELloyd) Gibson, a local fiddle player and all around nice guy, was killed in a car accident on the way home that night. He’s in the last photo. I only had a chance to play with him a few times, however was always kind and encouraging, even when it was obvious that I didn’t have a clue what I was doing.

Thanks for the photos. That looks like a lot of fun! What St. Pat’s should be.

I’m sorry about your friend.

How terrible!

:frowning:

Man, that sucks.

I wish I had a chance to know him better. He fell ill last year just as I was building up the courage to play at the session.

I’ve known too many good folks that have gone too early. Then again, any time is too soon, mostly.

Terrible news about Lloyd Gibson.

I sat in at the Mucky Duck session the week of 9-11, a Friday perhaps? Sunday? Don’t recall, now. Nice bunch of folks. There was a good fiddler on hand, but I don’t think it was Lloyd, judging from the photo.
