Hey everyone, I found a flute that reads “Philharmonic” on the side, Cant seem to find anything about it, hopefully you flute experts may know.
Unless someone recognizes it right away, additional info would be helpful. Or a photo link, of course.
Is it metal or wood? What color is it? Does it have keywork, or is it a plain tube with holes? When assembled, how long is it in cm?
Philharmonic flutes were manufactured in the early fifties by a chap named Phil Harmon.
it’s seems to be silver plated. I can see the brass on the joints. Anyone know how much it could be worth?
It’ll be in Philharmonic pitch - A=460 (I think). Common in the early 20th century.

Hardly, since we still don’t know what exactly it is you’re referring to! See MTGuru’s post! All sorts of things get called “flutes” which we here might have other terms for, including whistles, recorders, assorted kids toys… “Silver” plate might well be chrome, BTW.
Post us some pictures, or a link where we can see some (if it’s on eBay or similar). Failing that, you’ll need to give us a careful and fairly detailed verbal description.
