A few of my friends are regulars here, and one of them invited me to post about my own CVPC flutes. I’ll try my best to stay whithin the commercial guidelines, but please excuse me if I stray.
I’ve been making those flutes since 2003, and I’m now offering 2 models: one with or without a wooden mouthpiece on the CPVC tube. I make them in the Keys of D, Eb, E, F and G.

This is the first I have heard Phi-Flutes. Any comments from owners? I am especially interested in hearing from first time flute players migrating from whistle.
I’m the person who suggested Loa to post here. I can’t really comment on the flutes as I can’t play the instrument, but at least I can say he’s a very trustworthy person and you don’t need to be afraid to get ripped off or so. There’s a few persons who bought his flute around town and they seem to be quite pleased with the thing, but there again I can’t really comment.
On the other hand, Brad Hurley has agreed to record a tune (for my website) on one of my flutes. Maybe he’ll be able to answer your questions after that!

P.S. I’m not surprised that it’s the first time you’ve heard about my flutes: I’m barely beginning to make any kind of publicity!
These are good beginner flutes – I’ve been recommending them to my students who are looking for a first flute for under $100, and have been favorably impressed with each one I’ve tried.
I’m actually thinking of getting one for myself to keep in the car!
I might have $100 coming my way soon I might get one of these to add to my cheap Flute colection (it will be the 4th). Or I might just get a whistle or a low C tipple or something. I like the Wooden mouthpiece idea.
