Just got Meat Loaf’s new album a few days ago, and on a short piece called “Intermezzo” is a very lovely penny whistle piece.

The new CD was produced by Peter Mokran (renouned for his work with the Backstreet Boys, Brandy, The Flaming Lips, R Kelly, Michael Jackson, Maxwell and *NSYNC).

Songs were written by a number of different people, including:
Diane Warren, Jo Davidson, Nikki Sixx (from Motley Crue), Kevin Griffin (from Better Than Ezra), Singer songwriter James Michael, and Steve Trask (composer/lyricist from “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”).

Cripes, with a track record like that, it should be renounced, not renowned.

From the “liner” notes, Steinman is not a collaborator on this album. But Todd Rundgren, a true rock and roll genius, is responsible for one track.

If you like Meat, and enjoyed his other two albums, you need this one!!! :smiley: :smiley: :smiley:

I own 4 at least distinct studio albums.

Thanks for the heads up, though. I’ll see if the new one is at music world on my way home. The lack of Jim Steinman worries me a bit, as his songwriting was always one of the best things about Meat’s albums.
