Actually, all of the blogs in this site are interesting, especially my friend Peter’s climate change blog.
Enjoy!

I don’t understand. With this web thingy, how are you supposed to bang on the glass to make them move?
djm
What part of ball peen hammer and monitor don’t you understand? ![]()
peen.
yeah , me too ,
Peen ?
and i have used them in all their shapes and sizes , when i was a mechanic
we knew them as an engineer’s hammer
i believe they are also useful for information retrieval , a bit like Google i suppose , but with much quicker return time.
Looks like a coal hammer to me. But according to my research, the other side of the hammer is the “peen” - when it’s not shaped like a hammer. Yours has a rounded shape so it’s a ball peen. Upholsterers sometimes use a wedge peen.
Us haunless coofs that bash nails in generally use a claw hammer so we can bash the nails out again when we need to.

Stone the crows! You have to be careful around here or they’ll edumacate yez.
yep! I mostly bash metal bits, myself…the wife does the upholstery end (she doesn’t trust me with the sewing machines…unless she’s driven 'em out of adjustment
)
I’m still looking for budget for a small anvil, a bench vise would be less dangerous…course we don’t have a bench for it, not that there is space in the leather shop for another bench…maybe if I clean and move stuff when she’s not around someday.
oh, BTW: we’re off to another driving thing in a bit, we’ll be back tomorrow afternoon. APoD if you want!
I feel much better knowing I’m never far from real penguins.
