I am looking for a tune called , I think, Pat O’Graf…or something that sounds like this as I may not have it quite right.

And why does the name Squid Jiggin Ground sound familiar to me? Hmmm… checked a few of my Newfoundland CDs, they don’t have it, but Larry O’Gaff is on Minnie White’s The Hills of Home.
Okay, I’ve found Squid Jiggin’ Ground on the web, it’s a Newfoundland song? That must explain (at least roughly) why I’ve heard of it. And oh, there’s a MIDI at one of the websites. And it does sound a bit like Larry O’Gaff…

I heard the tune played at a session.
It sounded so familiar to me and then I thought of Squid Jiggin Ground..I learned this in school years ago.
I found it! Knowing the correct name sure helped. Thanks!

JAnice, I may have misrecollected (is this a word? ha !) Squid Jiggin Ground, but they are not the same to me. The first 8 bars are the same, except the timing is a bit different. Then there is B section that sounds nothing like anything I recall of Squid jiggin ground.
Janice, not exactly..the first 8 bars are the same, although the timing is a bit different. Then there is a B section that does not sound like Squid jiggin Ground at all. At least not as far as i remember it.
