Party at Tom's House! (update)

Good, good, good. Anna, sorry you missed it–the bards will sing of this one for many a year. A nicer bunch of house guests I’ve never had.

The session wasn’t musically the greatest due to a few key no-shows, but MAN, what a great time! Sorry we never made it up the mountain, guys. Sometimes a man just has to take a nap, that’s all there is to it.

Colin, you’re a great guy for a flat-lander. Glad to have you in the ranks of the RMBs.

Ben, glad to finally meet you. Take good care of Bethy or I’ll drive out there and administer a butt-kicking! hee hee Seriously, may God bless your upcoming marriage. This might just give me the excuse I’ve been needing for a good road trip…

Susan, I enjoyed spending some time with you. We’ll have to go hunting for Anasazi pottery next time I’m down your way.

Beth, you know, for this only being the second time we’ve ever met, I consider you a very close and trusted friend. Odd. But then, would we want it any other way?

Brian, what can I say? You are the man. May you always have the courage to take the high road.

Mack, Ron, Blayne, Sara, Cees: You were part of the party, too, and you were often in our thoughts and words.

The St. Brigid’s Cross you all gave me is hanging next to the door, as ordered. Now, I don’t set much store in religious relics, and I seriously doubt that cross’s abilities to protect me from want and harm…

…but with friends like you, I don’t think I have much to worry about.

I love you guys. Thanks for coming out. See you next summer?

Tom

p.s. Tempt me you must not, Frodo! Hmmmm!!?? (ever notice that Yoda and Grover have the exact same voice???)
Anybody want a peanut?
