A crate will save the floors. Their aim is fine, just not in that direction still they are better than some bipeds I know.

It could be worse. It could be #2.
Maybe I’ve been too subtle.
The point is, the targeting apparatus (nose) and the launching apparatus are, say .75 to.95 doglength (depending on gender of dog) apart.
Hence, the dog targets a bullseye, but the projectile misses the target by .75 to .95 doglength.

It’s not the dog’s fault, it’s your teaching methods. You need to get your need across better. There are different methods to do this. I’m not sure which method you’re using, so I’ll keep my mouth shut other than to say positive reinforcement is the most effective and most humane method all at once. Can’t beat that..
I’ve explained parallax to the dog numerous times, and I know for a fact I’m very good at explaining things. She looks at me with great interest each time I explain it, but I think she has a short memory for technical material.
