What is up with the recent unloading of Overton Low D’s?.. I must have seen half a dozen sale annoucements for them in the past couple of days. Is Bloomfield flooding the market so the prices come down and he can buy ALL of them?!?
It’s pretty much made me give up hope of selling mine, even at below-list price. Remember the days when an Overton Low D was snapped up, at a premium, as soon as it showed up on the board?
I could use this as a jumping-off point for a rant about what GWB’s economic policies have wrought, but I won’t.
Where’re all the WhOA sufferers when we need them?
Can you say Market Saturation? Plus I think a lot of folks hear them being played and think they will be able to play them as well as they do their Gen D, and end up disappointed.
I think it’s time for Dale, as Chairman of the CRB, (Chiff Reserve Board), to lower the interest rates in order to try and jumpstart the whistle buying economy.
I’ve been suffering from WhOA (specifically Overton Low D WhOA) for a while now–it’s just that with a wife in school and a major home remodeling project, I’m highly short of scratch. P’raps as a symbolic gesture, giving the two-bun salute to the economy and all that, you’d just give me the whistle–once you’ve given up hope?
Oh, we’re here friend. Trust me. We’re here. I’ve bought a Hoover Low G, a Serpent trio, and a couple of Sweetones in the past month. Believe you me, if I had the money, I’d snatch yours up in a heartbeat. You wouldn’t believe how hard I kick myself everytime an Overton Low D goes on sale. Ah well. I don’t regret any of my purchases, I’m just chagrined at the poor timing I seem to have encountered. hehehehehe.
Give it a month. Someone – if not me – will find the funds.
And it takes more than one person and one political party to create a problem like that. “herb” you know you don’t have to look any farther than our state capitol to see evidense of that.
So,
How do you know when a lawyer or a politician is lying?
I got one here last September and there’s been at least one advertised since then, not to mention teh ManUnited offers.
Seriously, I think the price difference has a lot to do with this. I mainly play the Copeland now but wouldn’t dream of parting with my Overton. I got my Overton as my first low D; I doubt whether anyone goes straight to Copeland.
I think I snapped up the oneafter yours, Wombat. I think it’s one of the finest whistles on the planet, but, as you feel about your Overton, I’m not gonna part with my Burke low-D. This is after FlOA has set in, too.
